Still cannot fully explain why simple blogging technology can become such a big hit.

Last week, I came back to Austin for a two-week trip. The goal of the trip was to “officialize my leaving”.(A long story to explain.) In summary, in this trip, I am going to finish and submit the paper I worked with professor ABW and MBS to AER, participate the graduation ceremony, sell my stuff in the univ apartments and move out. As a consequence, my trip after this will be “business” purpose only.

To cut it short, I was trying to put up a nice ad for my moving sale. Craigslist was my first choice due to recommendations of many friends (thanks Dragon and Ankur especially). However, I wasn’t very satisfied with the quality of the picture in the ads. I want to display a big nice ad. to attract more people (given limited time to spare for this event). My ftp server was down at this critical moment. I suddently came up with this genious (hehe..allow me to be a little arrogant here) of using blog. Am I the first one to use it for this purpose? maybe not? but it does work out well. I put the link of blog on craigslist and sold my stuff smoothly. (http://arielfang.blogspot.com)

The idea maybe a little offensive to the blogger people? Sorry but I like it. :)
